About us

Ioniqa is a scale-up specialized in circular processes for plastic materials and in 2019 launched an industrial process for PET packaging materials with other materials to follow soon. This new plant, located in Geleen, will be the basis (‘blueprint’) for its licensing strategy. Ioniqa has R&D labs and offices located in Eindhoven and a demo plant in the Port of Rotterdam, where successful tests have been performed together with leading value chain partners.

The Job

The assistant plant manager replaces the plant manager in her / his absence and coordinates technical support for the plant-operation. She or he is part of the local management team and sees the total of tasks of this team as well as her/his tasks. For this purpose, she/he is the first point of contact for the team leads and operators working in the 5-shift operation.

Activities

  • Resolves problems that have arisen/discovered during the shifts by deploying the internal or external organisation
  • Coordinates technical support and leads improvement projects
  • Actively seeks cooperation with colleagues in R&D and the technology group to solve problems together
  • Identifies and analyses disruptions in the process together with process technologists
  • Provides the R&D department with the desired input from the plant
  • Ensures safe working practices and the achievement of operational objectives
  • Supervises new employees and makes an important contribution to training, coaching and stimulating team members
  • The work takes place in daytime shifts

Requirements

  • Bachelor / Master educated.

  • Strong affinity and experience with mechanical engineering.
  • Process technoloy background
  • Strong affinity with automation.
  • Flexible personality with good communication skills.
  • Native dutch speaker, fluent in English.
