Carel Fitié will strengthen Ioniqa’s management team as COO (Chief Operating Officer).
Carel studied Chemical Technology at the University of Twente and obtained his PhD at TU Eindhoven at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering. Later, Carel spent more than 11 years at DSM in various roles within R&D, product development and, most recently, at the DSM Innovation Center.
Carel is active at the intersection of R&D, technology and business strategy and loves an entrepreneurial approach. This makes the heart beat faster for innovations with sustainability and (material) chemistry at the core, in short, a perfect match with Ioniqa.
Carel lives with his family in Eindhoven and can enjoy a good book and a dose of culture but spends most of the time in active hobbies. His greatest passion is basketball, where he plays fanatically, but is also active as a trainer and coach.
From the Management Team, Carel will take responsibility for the Technology group, the 10 kT factory in Geleen and the R&D team.
