Despite the current market dynamics in the Dutch and European plastic recycling market, Ioniqa maintains its vision: advanced plastic recycling is crucial to achieve the ambitious EU targets from 2030”.
Ioniqa anticipates that challenges will continue to exist, in addition to the continuous expansion of processing options for its own process such as packaging and textiles, further financing is also one of them. A well-known Dutch CEO recently said that ‘financing is often more difficult than technical innovation’.
With financiers and a team from Eindhoven, the technology is being finalized for implementation by means of licenses. In collaboration with a number of market parties, new factories are being built to realize fully sustainable PET plastic in the near future. Various interested parties have already shown interest.
